The feeling of devotion with the presence of the heart

Praise to Allah, the Pardoner, the All-Forgiving, the Mighty, the Greater, the Forbearing, the Patient, and I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone. He has no partner, the Remover of difficulties, the One who guides, the Giver, the Healer, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger, the Seal of the Prophets to whom is praise from his Lord, from the people of heaven and earth. May the peace and blessings of God be upon him, his family and companions.

So, I advise you and myself to fear God, as each of us is a traveller to the Hereafter and does not know when he will reach his destination and when his work is going to be finished.

Some people travelled, at the time of the prophet, from Yemen to Mecca, wanting to perform Hajj without having sufficient food, so the Qur’anic directive was revealed instructing them to take sufficient food. so taking enough food is desirable in Islamic Shariah. Then Allah the Almighty commanded them to equip themselves with the real and continuous provision that will benefit them in this world and the hereafter. and this provision will lead them to the most complete pleasure, and eternal bliss ."Take provisions along, for the merit of (having) provision is to abstain (from begging), and fear Me, O men of understanding! (Al-Baqarah: 197).

Servants of Most Merciful:

worshippings of the heart are the basis for the worshippings of the organs. Therefore, worshippings of the heart make obedience easy for a servant. and with the presence of it, the believer makes his worship stronger than ever. This thing magnifies the reward and increases it. And It is the spirit of worship along with it, it links worship to sincerity, certainty, veneration, hope, fear, reverence, and other things!.. It is a feeling of devotion with the presence of the heart, so let us remind ourselves: "And keep reminding because reminding benefits the believers" (At-ur:55).

May Allah the Almighty make it beneficial for speakers and listeners.

Brothers in Islam:

Whoever performs acts of worship realising its vertus, improving it and expecting that he is getting close to his Lord. He feels pleasure in worshipping, and his habits turn into acts of worship. And, sometimes, worship may resemble habits for him.

Servants of the Most Merciful:

Prayer is the pillar of Islam, and its virtues are numerous. We perform it repeatedly every day. So, do we ever feel that we are having a secret conversation with Allah in every rak’ah? In the hadith Qudsi narrated by Muslims, Allah said:I have divided the prayer into two halves between Me and My servant, and My servant will receive what he asks. When the servant says: Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the universe, Allah the Highest says: My servant has praised Me. And when he (the servant) says: The Most Compassionate, the Merciful, Allah the Highest says: My servant has lauded Me. And when he (the servant) says: Master of the Day of judgment, He remarks: My servant has glorified Me. (Sahih Muslim: 395).

Do we feel the answers of Allah the Almighty? And do we ever feel that we are doing supplication for which we say Ameen: (accept my prayers) after Al-Fatihah. Because, saying Amen means as it is known: Oh God, accept! supplications are not answered of an unaware and careless heart.

And it is stated in the hadith: “If one of you stands to perform Salah., he talks with his Lord privately. so let him see who he is conversing with !.” (Classed as authentic by Al-Albani.)

Do we sense the glorification of Allah when we do ruku (knee)l and when we prostrate to Him that we are the closest to the Lord Almighty in these actions?

Do we realise that whoever observes Isha salah in the congregation, it is as if he has observed salah for half of the night, and whoever observes Fajr salah in the congregation, it is as if he has observed the whole night!

Servants of Allah the Almighty:

When you visit your parents and relatives or serve them, or when you understand it burdens you. Do we feel the words of the Lord, (Glory be to Him) to the ties of blood: “Yes. Are you not satisfied that I should keep a relationship with one who joins your ties of relationship and cut it with one who cut your (ties of relationship)? so that it can motivate us to maintain relationships, to be cautious to break them and from the whims of the soul! So, "(O hypocrites,) do you not apprehend that, in case you turn away (from Jihad ), you will spread disorder in the land and will sever your ties of kinship? Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed, so He has made them deaf and made their eyes blind" ([Muhammad: 22.23] This realisation will certainly change your behaviour with others.

Servants of Most Merciful:

Remember! when you visit a sick person and wish for virtues of prayer of the angels for you and your possession of the fruits of Paradise until you return; It is stated In the hadith: “Verily, when a Muslim visits his brother in Islam he is supposed to remain in the fruit garden of Paradise until he returns"(Sahih Muslim: 2568).

And try to visit in the evening. Because it is a door to goodness. And your share from the angels’ supplication will be increased and you will get up in the morning as you get up on goodness.

Dear Beloveds:

Visualizing and remembering of Mount of Uhud makes the Muslim eager to perform the funeral prayer and to follow it to the graveyard, even if it is the funeral of a stranger or an expatriate!

Servants of the Most Merciful:

In general, people agree to praise beautiful morals, such as cheerfulness, smile, honesty, help, generosity, kind words, and others. But the Muslim is distinguished by the fact that if his intention is good, he becomes a devotee of Allah the Almighty because of which he earns a position near to his Lord and rewards that weigh his scales.

Servants of Allah:

While selling, you seek a reasonable profit in which you are satisfied. If someone buys from you, then you must express the meaning of your faith and lofty morals, so be mindful of that to maximize your reward “None of you believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself” (Sahih Al-Bukhari).

Brothers in Islam:

Job and work is trusted thing, and you may fall short in your work and no one knows about you! And your owner may know and but he turned a blind eye to you. whoever senses the greatness of the trust and that he will be held accountable, strives harder to be pure and honest in his work. So, fear, hope and observance of God will push him to perform the work correctly, and Allah is helpful.

Servants of the Most Merciful:

charity purifies the Muslim and blesses his money. “Take sadaqah (obligatory alms) out of their wealth through which you may cleanse and purify them, and pray for them. Indeed, your prayer is a source of peace for them. And Allah is (All-) Hearing, (All-) Knowing [At-Tawbah: 103] and it is mentioned in hadith that"If somebody gives in charity something equal to a date from his honestly earned money ----for nothing ascends to Allah except good---- then Allah will take it in His Right (Hand) and bring it up for its owner as anyone of you brings up a baby horse, till it becomes like a mountain."(Sahih al-Bukhari:7430)

May Allah benefit me and you from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah and the guidance and mercy of them.

and ask God’s forgiveness for He is Forgiving.

Second sermon

Praise be to God who said: "Having said that, if one observes the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, then such things emanate from the piety of the hearts" ([Hajj: 32] and said: "It is neither their flesh nor their blood that reaches Allah, but what does reach Him is the taqwa (the sense of obedience) on your part. Thus He has made them (the animals) subjugated to you so that you proclaim Allah’s glory for the guidance He gave you. And give good news to those who are good in their deeds" ([Hajj: 37]. And the blessings and peace be upon the Prophet who said: In the body, there is a piece of flesh, and the whole body is sound if it is sound, but the whole body is corrupt if it is corrupt. It is the heart.”

Afterwards,

worshipping Allah devoting himself to Him with the presence of the heart is a way to reach the highest rank of Ihsaan (perfection) in Deen(religion). And Ihsaan (perfection) has two kinds, first:To worship Allah as if you see Him, It is the highest rank. And the second one is: if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you.

Dear friends:

It is a great favour of Allah on a servant if he is guided to stand in salah before Allah in the middle of the night while he fears Hereafter and hopes for the mercy of his Lord. And he realises the nearness and promise of Allah which is: ( is there any beggar so that he be given? Is there any supplicator so that he can be answered? Is there any beggar of forgiveness so that he can be forgiven?) in the last third portion of the night. (Bukhari and Muslims)

Reflect on the saying of the Almighty, the Highest:And place your trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. Who sees you when you stand (in prayer,). And (sees) your movement among those who prostrate themselves. Surely, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. Shu`ara’: 217-220).

Servants of the Most Merciful:

remembrance of Allah is the greatest worship. So do we, at the remembrance of Allah, feel its meanings. For, the praise means thanksgiving and praise, Sana and takbeer(remembrance of salah) mean glorification, the tasbeeh means purification and glorification, and the Hawqalah means: seeking help.

And the scholars state that the best remembrance is that which is done with the heart and the tongue together.

Do we remember the great virtues of remembrance of Allah? And it is stated in the Qudsi hadith: “If he mentions Me to himself, I will mention him to myself. if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they. (Sahih al-Bukhari: 7405) And Ibne Qayyum said:if no virtue of remembrance of Allah was not mentioned. only this virtue would have been enough.

And when the fasting person recalls the words of the Lord, glory be to Him, (in the divine hadith: “He gives up his desires and his eating and drinking for my sake” Sahih al-Bukhari) he feels close to his Lord and feels eager to fast.

Dear friends:

Do we realise the orders of Allah when reciting the Qur’an?

A man came to Abdullah bin Masoud and said: Advise me. He said: “If you hear God saying: O you who have believed, listen to it attentively for, it is either good for which we are asked to do or either evil from which we are asked to refrain ” (corrected by Ahmad Shakir).

Servants of the Most Merciful:

Of course, the realisation of these meanings make a difference and whenever the heart is filled with the realities of faith and its highest levels, the realisation becomes more complete and more durable. And we have to struggle against ourselves and what helps us in achieving it, is knowing about it, struggle, supplication, and sitting in the gatherings of remembrance of Allah. Perhaps this can be one of the wisdom of reminding and advising: “And remind, for remembrance benefits the believers” (Al-Dhariyat: 55).

Then send peace and solutions...
