تشهد حوارا ثقافيا عن أثر الرسول في إرساء العدل والأمن في العالم ( باللغة الإنجليزية )

A dialogue held by Dr. Khaled Al-Shaya, the Assistant Secretary General of Global Commission for introducing the Messenger (PBUH).

Brunel University witnesses a cultural dialogue about the impact the Messenger (PBUH) had in the establishment of justice and peace all over the World.

A few days ago, Brunel University in west London witnessed a cultural dialogue between Sheik Khaled bin Abdel-Rahman Al-Shaya, the Assistant Secretary General of Global Commission for introducing the Messenger (PBUH) and the university students from multi nations, and both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Dr. Al-Shaya opened the dialogue by stating the dialogue subject in both Arabic and English, “Muhammad the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) Corrects the Path towards Justice and Peace”.

Al-Shaya then stated clearly that Allah has created the whole creation with main purpose to worship Him alone. He then sent His messengers to show his servants the right path towards the sincere worship of Allah the Most High and that human kind may maintain justice and peace between them. Allah also has revealed His divine books to the Messengers that they would explain the divine path to their people. Al-Shaya quoted the following verse in which Allah the Exalted says, “We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. ”, (Surat Al-Hadid 57:25). He then explained that the last of these divine books is the Noble Quran as Allah says, “And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations.” (Surat Al-Ma'ida 5:48) Al-Shaya also emphasized that the last Messenger and the seal of all prophets is Muhammad (pbuh) as Allah stated explicitly in the Noble Quran; Allah says, “Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah , of all things, Knowing.”, (Surat Al-Ahzab 33:40).

The Assistant Secretary General of Global Commission for introducing the Messenger (pbuh) went on explaining that the core message of all messengers is the same; the laws sent down with them may vary but the fundamentals remain identical. He quoted the noble verse in which Allah says, “And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."” (Surat Al-Anbiya 21:25) In fact, all previous messengers of Allah told their peoples about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as mentioned in the Noble Quran and other divine books.

Sheik Al-Shaya then moved on to explain that Muhammad (pbuh) was sent at a time when humanity reached a point of total abandonment of the true faith, human characters and well manners. So Muhammad (pbuh) was sent with the final divine message to bring people back to their righteousness, a goal which was achieved within a short span of time of no more than 25 years. The tenets of his call were the use of wisdom and good instruction with all people except for those who turned their backs in arrogance and defiance. The Messenger (pbuh) did not pass away until he accomplished his mission and delivered his message in a perfect way. Allah the Exalted marks this perfection in his His book as he says, “This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.” (Surat Al-Ma'ida 5:3).

Al-Shaya stressed that Islam is free from all acts of violence, aggression and injustice. In fact, it keeps rights and encourages their protection.

The dialogue held between Sheik Al-Shaya and the present students was full of discussions and the exchange of views and questions, particularly that concerning the relations between Muslims and non-Muslims, whether at the campus or in all aspects of human interaction.

Students who attended the event were very pleased with such cultural dialogue and expressed their wishes for holding similar dialogues in the future.

It should be noted that this cultural dialogue wes held in coordination with Brunel Suadi Society in London who honored their guest Sheik Khalid Al-Shaya with the presence of Mr. Raed Al-Towerqi , President of Brunel Saudi Society and Mr. Emad Al-Rafi'e, President of Saudi Students Club in London.
